Well just a little update I received my 33inc Samson today. Phat Performance were great and pipe took the exact time they told me they would. Chrome finish looks great and now I'm gonna start installing them. Can't wait to finish installing them so I could hear what they sound like.
Got my 39's in today also. Got them on, took lots of tweaking, and some cutting stone work on the inside of a couple pipes, more than I should have to, but they look great.
Didn't start the bike, as it was late when I finished. Won't know what it sounds like till tomorrow.
Oh, took out the baffles before I installed them.

You should t have to do any work on pipes....but that's this company for you. They are going out of business, I think.

Well, you overcame the first two hurdles:
1. Receiving the pipes. Eight days isn't bad.
2. Installing them. I agree that you shouldn't have to modify them to install them.
You said they look great so the last hurdle is do they sound good? For that, you only have to start the bike. I'm sure they'll sound great.
I'm glad it all worked out in the end and before bike week.

I also have 39's and i also removed the baffles even before installing them on the bike. Try to ride it maybe a couple of miles if you like the sound and torque. If not, you can try what I did which is putting a lollipop where the stock baffles where. Up to now, the lollipop stays there and does the job.

Glad you're happy with them. Samson would be my choice if ever I should get off the pot and switch to dualies. Only concern is the pre fab... Can you elaborate on that please?
Finished installing my Samsons last night very happy with how they look and the finish of the chrome. Did not start it up yet so don't know how they sound. Will start later on today. I did remove the baffles off the pipes so I'm hoping they sound great. I don't know why Bestrafen had to modify them cause I did not have to do any. Maybe because his were 39's and mine are 33's. The only thing that gave me a little problem was the shift rod it kept hitting the cross over pipe but with a little adjustments it's working good.
Couple of problems with mine. "U" pipe wouldn't fit into crossover pipe, tolerances were way too tight. I test fit all the pieces together before trying to mount them on the bike. The flange opening was just a few thousands too small, which was enough to keep it from being fitted together.
I applied a little bearing grease to the flange to help, but to no avail. So, I had to get out the cutting stones, and remove a very thin layer off the inside of the flange to get them to fit each other. Head pipe to muffler on the other side, burrs of metal from cutting the slots for the clamp area were stopping the pipes from going together. Those needed to be ground down on the inside also.
Wasn't really a big deal, more of an annoyance than anything. Very pleased with looks and sound. I would buy another set again, if that counts for anything.
