was walking around wallyworld waiting for medicine and i happen to walk into the auto section. i noticed they had LED 1156's and 1157's in amber. will they fit in place of stock bulbs? if so will they work just as good as buying them from someplace else?
those cheap-o 1157 LED bulbs won't last too long.. and they are not that bright either... I say stick to incandescent.. or if you want to spend on expensive but totally worth the money.. then go with Custom Dynamics:
Dan, I've seen in here some decent results with the more expensive bulbs available in auto parts stores, but like joebotics said, save your pennies and splurge on the good stuff from Custom Dynamics.

Do not waste your money on those cheap bulbs. In my experience, IF they work, the difference between running and stop (dim vs bright) is negligible.
That's no good on a motorcycle, you want people to know when your brakes are on or your turn signals are flashing.
I also have, and support, Custom Dynamics. My tombstone taillight is nice and bright on run and super bright on stop.
If you have the money, nothing beats the BrightAssTaillight. They don't make one for Tombstone however. That BrightAssTaillight will literally hurt your eyes if you look at it too long. It''s in their instructions and it's true.
P.S. Joebiotics, a few FL crew members are meeting up at Cafe 27 Sunday 1 pm or so, for a ride to Alabama Jacks if you'd care to ride with us. Check out the thread, hope to meet you.
Also, if you put them in your front signals, they actually will flash normally, throw a code cuz the system thinks they are burnt out, and your signals on the dash will fast blink.
Been there, done that, put the incandescents back in!
