I am trying to decide on what wind shield I should purchase for my 09 Deluxe and would like everyone's options on what has worked best for you. I was looking at the Harley windshields, Memphis Shades, and Clearviews. Any recommendations and info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I just ordered a clear 16” re-curve Long Ride replacement Shield
for my Heritage Classic. I had LRS shields on a couple of my other
bikes and they worked out well. At eye level I'm looking at the top
of the stock shield. I prefer the top of the shield below eye level.
Also had a couple of Memphis Shades which also make a great
product. My 2 cents on 2 shades.

Same here.
I started out with the H-D quick detach but found the top of the stock 18" screen was directly in my line of sight.
I ended up swapping that out for the 16" LRS Recurve - now it's perfect.
Just make sure if you go with an H-D windshield, that you specify if it's for use WITH or WITHOUT auxiliary lights...
The difference between the two is about 1" of spacing between the mounting brackets.
I've seen where guys would go ahead and get the shield made for use WITH aux. lights whether they had them or not, then just added a couple of small spacers to take up the extra width.
That way you can add the aux. lights later without a problem.
Otherwise if you buy the windshield made for use WITHOUT aux. lights, then decide to add them later you'll have to buy the whole windshield again...

+1 for LRS shields. I have a recurve on my Ultra and finally put one on my Heritage.
I rarely put the OEM windshield on my Heritage unless I was doing a long trip. I hated looking through it.
I bought a 16" recurve from LRS and now I rarely take the windshield off!! My wife says she notices no more wind with the shorter recurve than there was with the taller OEM....
I do not currently have a windshield now. So how would I go about getting a LRS windshield? I looked on their website and it states that these are replacement windshields only, with no mounting hardware. Do I need to buy a windshield from Harley and then just replace the stock windshield with the LRS shield or is there a easier and cheaper way to go about it? Thanks for all of your help
SLWRDE, I would recommend taking a look at WindVest shields also. They do run shorter than the most others, but they are well reviewed on this and other forums. All of their shields come complete with the hardware.
I like the recurve Jam posted, saweet! I will say this, my stock Deluxe windshield perfect for me @ 5'8". It took me a lil while to realize those quick release grommets need TLC. Use to be a pain in the **** to pull the shield until I slapped a lil Woody Wax on the grommets. Piece of cake now to slap on/off. Food for thought.
