I thought you already had a windshield and were looking for something better....

To use an LRS shield, you'd need an OEM set-up to start with. Maybe get a used one off e-bay or Craigs list. It doesn't need to be in good shape, as long as the hardware is straight & clean...

Another +1 for the 16" LRS recurve here. Had the 18" HD shield, and like a couple others, the top edge was right in the middle of my line of vision. I would have actually preferred a 15", but the 16 is low enough that it's not distracting.

I don't notice any different airflow with the 16 recurve vs. the 18 stock, but my wife says she does get a little more wind blast when riding 2-up with the shorter shield.

I have A Gradient Black windshield from Memphis Shades and I love it. Also, I can tell you from personal experience that their customer service is top shelf!

I had to buy the 18" HD windshield first and then after getting tired of it being in my line of sight and tinted, i bought the 16 clear LRS recurve. Its great. You can catch LRS windshields at half price from time to time.

I went to the HD dealership the other day to see if I could just buy all the hardware without the windshield and then buy the LRS windshield like some of you had recommended. After adding up all the hardware and the LRS windshield it would be more cost effective to just buy the HD 18" King size detachable clear windshield, replace it with the LRS and then sell the HD windshield. So that is what I have done. If anyone needs or knows someone looking for a brand new 18" clear HD windshield then please let me know I will make whomever a great deal. With my work schedule right now I should have this all done by the end of next week. Thanks for everyone's help it is much appreciated.

I started with the Nostalgic HD windshield on my 2010 Deluxe. Two years ago I went with the Memphis Shade Bat Wing..... Without a doubt it was the best mod I have done.
