I have really thought about the speedo/tach gage like you have. How do you like it?
I like the dials way better than anything digital.. The tach is more useful on bike than my car

Any pics with the rinehart installed yet? I looked at my heritage and don't think it will fit as my axle is about an inch below the top of the muffler.

Looks awesome. Another "chopped" road-king.
Pics of mine attached.

The OP said he was waiting on his rinehart 2-1 exhaust. I have that exhaust and it seems it won't fit with hard bags.

The thunder header you have is smaller at the muffler as the rineharts have a megaphone style muffler and it looks like it might interfere

I put the hard bags on mine. I like the way it looks. It does seem to take away from the heritage look. But mine was not a good looking heritage when i got it. all the leather was sun burnt and cracked. Looks alot better now I have changed all the ugly stuff.

when I bought it . 2 years sitting in the sun.

since this pic the seat has been recovered and I am having the rims powder coated gloss black should look even better when I finish

My OEM heritage bags has lid stiffens and looked great.. Just a hassle to use in more ways than one.
That's the reason I went to hardbags...
The old style h/bags are not well designed, imo.
So it only made sense to get ones that i could use one handed.
New hard bags are designed for that, couldn't find any cheap enough.
So i bought 07 police bags and flush popups.
Highly recommend it..

Rbeam, put them on today. Plenty of clearance with stock height. I get a better picture in the morning.
