Notice the Road King speedo?
If has the tach and indicator lights for cruise control..
I like the look of the OEM leather bags but I hate using em in real space-time ... I thought to mod them to open out, one handed..
Hidden hinges... I still might try that , meanwhile I trailed off and don't care anymore
After the baggertail mounted, the detachables were too narrow and required spreading to fit ...
The sissybars were easy enough, the tourpak is stout and needed all limbs in play..
Everything plays together now
I am thinking about hard bags for my Deluxe but after getting a price of $700 to paint them two colors (B & W) plus the cost of the bags, i may rethink that idea.
I am seeing more and more people do this baggertail conversion. I like the idea of hard bags just in my opinion it doesn't fit the lines of the softail.
And this is the reason I'm reluctant on putting them on my sons heritage. 9 out of 10 times they just look out of place.
I don't mind the hard bags when they are like yours Tex, they seem to fit the bike and do not take away too much of the Heritage look. I can't stand the fairings on one tho, just totally changes the look, might as well bought a glide if doing that.
Amkaos, I like that bike, it really seems as though we have very similar taste in scooters.
Thx.. Your bags tie in really well.
If I paint mine, it would really set it off .. Even tho I get huge complements everytime I take it out..
Probly gonna be a project for next winter

Your bike has a nice two tone paint, the bags would really pop if you colored matched them. It was about $500 for my bags paint. I gave them my front fender for a color match reference.
I have really thought about the speedo/tach gage like you have. How do you like it?
