2006 Softail Heritage Classic
Thanks in advance to everybody who posts here. I have found a ton of useful information. I consider my bike a constant work in progress. It currently has the 95" big bore kit, SE203 Cams, SE air intake, and SE 2 slip ons. The local Harley shop did the work and dyno tuning. Mileage went from 38-40 mpg to 28-30 mpg. Im not thrilled about that part at all after reading about others getting much better mpg. I will be installing an Arlen Ness Super Sucker 2 and Drago Dragula2 2-1 exhaust as soon as they are delivered. Dyno tuning will be done by The Hogg Shoppe here in Corpus instead of Harley. Better heads and cams may in the future too.

I think aside from the tune, maybe you're having some fun crankin' the throttle too! Perhaps they put a nice and safe "fat" tune on it initially. You might be able to lean it out some and get some of your fuel mileage back.

That mileage is with easy to normal riding. If Im out having fun its even worse. I think they just put the generic tune used for a 95" kit. The bike runs good but I think it can do better with a proper tune. The 2-1 should help too.
