Slim pull-back riser kit question
So getting lower back pain on my current stock set up, so I was looking into the pull-back riser kit. There is a note indicating '15 and newer with abs need a brake line...since the stock length won't allow for an extension. So my question comes in concerning doing this apparent brake line install. I am familiar with manually bleed a car's brakes and all...but since my bike has ABS I was curious if that complicates the procedure? I want to say that I heard that only a shop can work on ABS brake systems...something about using a digital technician tool to purge the ABS of possible trapped air. Is this true?
When I changed bars on my 2013 Slim with ABS and had to replace the brake line I used a vacuum bleeder. That was two years and almost 14,000 miles ago. The ABS functions the same as it did when new and I have had no issues to date.
What did you do exactly? Did you install the new line, then bleed it from the master cylinder....once the new line was free of air to install it where it meets the bikes abs unit? Then bleed from the relief valve at the caliper?
