Chuck is great to deal with! Fast shipping as well. Love my solo seat for my Fatboy.

I have the solo in plain leather. I also just bought the matching pilion.

how tight a fit is the solo. I just put mine on right now and it was hard to get the tab to catch on the seat front. then I had a hard time getting it slide on. used a slight bit of grease on the tab.

the back of the seat did not line up 100% and its not 100% flat to the mounting fender bolt. but I easily got the mounting screw on with washer. So its secure. hopeing it will work its way lower after riding it.

For me it was hard to get it installed for the same reasons you just mentioned. I even tried to pull the tab out a little more so that it would catch easier (probably did more damage than good by trying this). My back lined up fine, and seems to be secure. In the end, so far so good.

My solo fit like a glove... didn't have to do anything to make adjustments.

My sport tour though acted just like you described. I also bent the tab down just a bit to make a better catch... The back didn't fit very well either. So I bolted it all on and after it sat on the bike for a few days it relaxed to the shape and now it fit's like a glove also.

I had to bend the front and rear tabs to get the seat to fit perfectly. I little tweaking and it will fit like a glove. I have been meaning to post picts of the pillion installed. It fits great with the solo.

Thanks again everyone for all the good info. I called Chuck on Monday and to my surprise, had had the seat that I wanted in stock. If all goes well with shipping I'll have it Fri, just in time to bolt on before I leave for the Okeechobee Bike rally. Should look great with the new drag bars and front turn sig relocate kit that I just finished putting on today. Will have pics for all to see when I get back.

I've got a C & C Fastback on my bike. Best seat I've owned out of four that I tried. Great price and quality, Chuck is a good guy to deal with.
