Does anyone knowif the painted cover that HD sells to cover the mouning holes for the sissy bar will cover the plate and studs for the sissy bar without removeing the plate?
I have the harley plate and was going to buy the sissy bar to allow me to put a bag behind me and a bag on the rack to do overnights.
I have a $25 cover for the back fender that I would put in place of the plate when traveling. It's roughly the same size as the cover, rubber, with 6 pads that stick it to the rear fender. I'd put it right on the plate if the plate would cover the sissy bar bolts. I'm interested in the answer myself. I can go down and measure the clearance under the plate to get an idea.
