Clutch and rear shocks got done today. Forgot to get pics of the shock install, was too damn humid and hot. After I put the screamin eagle clutch kit in, it hooks a lot better now and shifts great, but my engagement point changed a lot. It's farther away from the lever now, almost all the way out. The heavy duty clutch spring isn't required with the kit, is it? I left stock in because I liked the pull.
Took the screamin eagle discs out and put stock back in. Turns out that wasn't my problem. Still searching! Front wheel is on, took it for a test ride and down came the torrential downpour! So Good news is it got washed, bad news is I took 2 showers today! Once that clears up and I can clean it up nice nice I'll get some after pics. Will probably do the front monotubes next week or so. I will add that the 23" wheel made it turn like a bear. Straight line stability however has never been better. Stay tuned!
Oh.. I did notice that for about 20 miles the floating front rotor I put on would chatter and squeak when I was coming to a stop. That went away after right until I pulled into my driveway soaking wet. Normal for that? I've never had a floating rotor before, but I have heard drilled/slotted car rotors do it all the time.
Edit: front forks will be delayed. Montotubes that were delivered were stock height. Sending those back for lowered ones. Bike sits too high with the 23 up front.
