I'm looking for a good deal on an aftermarket Sissy bar and pad for my bike. I've already got the mounts on the side of the rear fender, and I have a tour pack that mounts for solo use, but I want something for momma. The local HD dealer said he could order the correct bracket for my tour pack....but it was around $300 or something stupid like that.
Don't know exactly what your looking for but, my wife likes our setup. I got a
19 7/8" Khrome Werks Lowboy Sissy Bar from JP Cycles. It worked with the stock side plates on my 03 Heritage. It gives you a good bit more height for 2 up riding http://www.jpcycles.com/product/8500095. It will work with most any backrest pad.
I chose the Mustang Bracket Style Sissy Bar Pad, Studded, 7" x 12.5" http://www.mustangseats.com/Category/Sissy-Bar-Pads. It isn't as wide as a stock Harley pad but it is longer and matches my Mustang Wide Touring seat. This setup allows the passenger to lean back a bit farther which gives you more room for two up riding. Good Luck!!

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'm really looking for a quick detach setup. My wife will rarely want to ride, but she wants a sissy bar when she does. I've been scouring the HD site, but sticker shock makes me wonder if there are good aftermarket parts out there instead. I have a tour pack with a solo bracket, and I've been looking for the 2-up bracket, but they consistently run $250 from Harley. It just seems to me that someone would make an aftermarket part for a way better deal.
I know I bought a Harley....and parts are expensive, but I'm wanting to find a deal.
I got my HD brand sissy bar and luggage rack here at hdforums in the classifieds for a very reasonable price. A lot of them go unsold so do a search and shoot a potential seller a PM.
