Default Engine Code Help

Got the bike out for the Sunday drive and no start. Got a BUSSer indication and was able to clear all codes by UO142 in the ecm and bcm. Also the right front turn signal does not work. This same event happened last week and was able to clear everything and restarted and turn signal was functioning again as well but this time it did not clear. Anyone have any suggestion. The bike is a 2012 Fat Boy.

"U" codes are not engine-related. "P" codes are powertrain/emissions. "U" codes are for network/HDLan (CAN Bus) problems. U0142 means "Lost Communication with RHCM (right hand control module.)" there might be a wiring fault or something in the right side switch module might be broken.

Great. Thanks for the information. Did not know what the RHCM was so this helps and makes sense from what is also happening with the turn signal. I'll start the tear down and see what I find.
