WellIwas told the same thing about my 2006 FLSTSC-I Springer Classic and also it tells meI can't in the parts catalouge. When I called Harley davidson Tech department they said the same thing (won't work) I then stated that the 03' Heritage Springer Classic and the 05-07 springer Classics have identical front ends everything is the same (springer fork wise and fenders) he didn't know what to say! I stumped him.......let's use common sense here if the models are basically the same and the 03 came with the Nostalgic horn it only reasons that the 05' -07 springer Classics will take the same equipment. So I purchased the Nostalgic horn kit and it was on in about 5 minutes ( not including the electrical hook-ups) and here is a pic for the proof.!
Remember 2 things do not trust what the catalouge says and if common sense tells you one thing follow your instincts.
Was that the kit with Part # 69036-88A? I have been going through the same thing as 37Thunder. A tech gy told me that stuff off of the '97s and earlier will work but I have to order those part by part (bracket, screws, acorn nuts, cross bolt, etc.) which is of course a hassle. I was thinking of fabbing up my own bracket and getting it chromed if all else fails but the tech gy admitted the same thing, the shock diameters for all these bikes are the same and he does not know why HD claims they will not fit the FLSTSC since everything seems to be identical.
Two things...definitely go to heritagespringer.com. The membership of HSOA is the most knowledgable and passionate group of guys (and gals) you will find when it comes to the HS.
Second, I mounted the Howard's Hog Horns on my '02 HS. Comes with the bracket. All I had to do was buy a cowbell to cover the compressor and drill out a hole on the bracket to fit the passing lamp switch.
Hey T King. I have exact same bike in Chas. SC. Does the chrome bracket bolt to the upper shock bolt? I do not have the auxilliary light bar.
I notice you aded the Deluxe seat with rail. I added Crossbone bags, nostalgia grips, Crossbones floor boards and oval brake pedal for old look.
While at Biketober fest , I saw only one other FLSTSCI, but it was all black. Like ours much better. I have a pic of a 42 just like ours. Send ne your emai and I'll forward it.
