It shouldn't be too hard to fashion some sort of bracket to make it work. Anything CAN be done with a bit of ingenuity. I think that's a killer looking horn too...
Check out drag specialties replica horn ....will mount where yours is now. Was considering one for myself.... If you go with it let me know how you like it.
Well, I ended up purchasing off the local HD dealer. They had one so I could really take a look at it. The 1st dealer didn;t have one, and couldn;t tell me what I needed to know about the mount, and HD didn;t have a parts break-down.
It's the same as the knock-offs without the HD logo. Some things I like having HD logo, and I believe an extra $10 serves justice.
Anyways, just take off the universal mount of the new horn, and replace with the OEM chrome bracket. Only thing I'm doing is making a plate so the new horn will be mounted the same. Not sure is really needed but easy enough to do...
I'll be posting pics of the new horn showing the back so everyone can see what they mean by a "universal mount". I'll also have a pic of the bike with the new horn. Looks pretty cool and retro....
Yea please post a pic ....I agree the shield does look better might be why I haven't ordered the replica yet. Please post a pic of the bracket you made if you find you need to make one.
