Deluxe Seat compatibility

Hi all. I have a question about the HD Deluxe year/model seat compatibility. I just bought an 06 Deluxe FLSTN and it has a big ugly two up seat on it that i want to replace with the original stock seat configuration. There seems to be a split in compatibility with Deluxe seats-some forums say that the OEM stock seat assembly with the saddle-small rear seat-luggage rack combination that fits 2007-2016 Deluxe models will not fit an 06. Can anyone tell me whether they have had experience with this? Essentially what I am looking to do is install a 2007 and up seat-rack-rear seat assembly on a 2006 bike and just want to know if it works?

Don't have the HD catalog handy, but the Mustang Seats catalog lists the same p/n for 2005-2016 Deluxes, so I would thing it would fit.

There may be a problem with wide rear tire Softails, but Deluxes don't have the wide rear tire.

The 2006 and 2007 FLSTNs aren't terribly different. These years still have the provision for frame-mounting but also have the fender stud plate. Per our research, the seats can transfer fine.
