I have the Bassani Radial Sweepers on my '14 Slim. I have never had any V&H exhaust. So, I cannot really give you a comparison. But, I can say, I do enjoy my Bassani's. It is not a look I would have chosen... But they sound great! The radial curve look is a bit different than a lot of folks run, so I get comments on it all the time.
It's funny, I struggle with the look v. the sound v. the performance issue with regards to this exhaust a lot. The Slim (and your Heritage) to me are traditional looking bikes. The Slim should be Bobber-esque. The Heritage should be classic/traditional looking. But, at the same time we each want our own thing. So, I keep trying to find a decent performing, shorty looking exhaust for my bike. The Firesweeps or the ProPipes from Bassani are a bit longer than I really want, but I think will be better performing exhausts than what I have... and a bit more traditional.
On my last bike (a Dresser style Shovel) I had a Paughco 2:1 with straight fishtail and a really short drag-style baffle. It was a decent performing/great sounding exhaust and I have been tempted to get something like it for the Slim.
I do like the idea of a 2:1, but I don't really care for some of the looks of the more modern ones... Even though, I know intellectually, they probably perform so much better.
Put the Fatty on my Heritage over a year ago and the thrill is not gone. It fits perfectly, have a look on D and D's web page under Softails and it'll show a Heritage, might even be mine.
