I've got the same seat as well, very comfortable but man it seems like it sits me on top of the bike instead of "in" the bike like my flat hard seat. I've put 350 in a day in on the flat seat but it does hurt the butt a little.
Yep defiantly sets up higher ............. its been my experience that any distance on any seat past 300 miles starts to hurt the butt a little I'm getting old I guess
Same here on being on "top" of the bike instead of "in" it - going to try it for a while and see how it goes. The wife has a Fatboy (we'll I guess she has two if you include me ;-) ) - it is amazing how different the bikes feel when riding
I have gone through several seats. This '29 style Harley spring seat is one of my favorites.
I used the X Bones mount, but I cut, re welded 1" or so from the rear mount and cut down the front mount as well. I have an uncut front mount, and I think it is just as comfortable, and stock front mount does not raise my eye height a measurable amount.
Since this seat has MUCH LESS "padding" than the X Bones seat, I sit lower as well.
I still feel like I'm sitting in the bike, and I look over the top of my Q/D Harley windshield by abut 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch higher than with a Heritage style or Slim seat.
I can quick change seats in less than 10 min. The added "cush ride" of the springs is welcome as well!
