Overfill? I don't think so. As I recall it was a good 3/4" below the top when the pump clicked off.
Is there a overfill point I went past ?
The bikes that have that charcoal filter canister can get filled with gas and that can cause your bike to stutter until you use up some of the gas. Happened to my friends bike. He ended up driving around a parking lot for a little while to burn up some gas.
I checked the battery connections and ground. Both were good. I didn't see any obvious wiring problems.
I took it for a quick ride to see if that solved the issue. Nada.
I was wondering if I was going to make it home. It was coughing and spitting the last mile.
Didn't know you could over fill the tank.. I always fill all the way to the top. 65000 miles and never a hiccup.
Yep those who live here in Cali have the EPA standard bestowed upon us. That canister when flooded from the fuel overflow line will make your bike run like ****.
I drained the tanks to rule out bad gas and put fresh gas in. Tried to run it and it would barely run.
So I pulled the plugs. The front plug was Fowled badly. The rear plug was clean but appeared to be a little on the lean side.
I replaced both plugs and she runs like she's supposed too.
I'm going to monitor closely as I'm not sure if it was bad gas that was causing the issue or there's something else going on.
