exhaust question
Sorry for the really basic question, but I found a V&H big radius exhaust system I like on ebay for 07 softail for 499$, and I was wondering, do you just take off the old exhaust and put on the new exhaust or is there more involved in the process that I'm not aware of?

I just did this to my bike last night. pretty simple, on my deluxe I had to change the exhaust bracket and relocate the footpeg, no big deal. besides that you unplug then unscrew the )2 sensors, take the old system off. put the new heatshieds on the new pipes loosely before installing them and screw the O2 sensors into the new pipes. Change the retainer clips (snap rings) and flanges from the old pipes to the new ones. bolt the new ones on, adjust and tighen the heatshields and then give them a good cleaning. and there you are, might seem kinda lengthy but my brother in law and I did mine in about an hour to an hour and a half. oh, And by the way... They look f&^%ing awesome!!!
You may want to think about a upraded intake/aircleaner, fuel mgt system, actual pipe install is pretty much plug and play, getting to the very back exhaust bolt was a bear for me.
