Thanks for the compliments and welcome to the Softail section everyone! I paid $7k for it, which some may disagree with, however the bike is clean and well cared for. Much cheaper than a new one is the way I see it. Coming off a solid mount '98 Sportster this thing is smooth as silk.
Congrats! You'll love it! Pearl white is really good looking...cause there are enough black Harleys in the world (no offense anyone...) Try this link for your front brake..it's worked well for me..huge difference. Just have to do it every now and then. https://m.facebook.com/notes/lyndall...1058600591807/
Before you conclude that the rotor is warped, jack up the front wheel and spin it. You may find that the problem is in the spokes or rim (possibly bent rim or loose spokes) and when brakes are applied the tortional stress is applied to the rotor.
thinking if he only inspected the Tennsioners.... Well - IMO, at 52K they should have been replaced, not just looked at.....
That's the weakest link of that engine and is a posable time bomb,, If they've never been changed I'd (ASAP) go ahead and install some GEAR Cams and be done with them.
Welcome to the dark side, the Heritage side that is. Yes we went from a Sporty to our Heritage and yes the ride did it for us. We have since installed the Shotgun shock rear air suspension system and the Progressive Mono-Tube front fork kit. The ride is out of this world now.
Congratulations.
