Just saw one in person the other day and must say it looks great. For any owners of this bike what is your overall impression of the 110 engine? Was it worth the extra bucks?
I like it but there's 28 thousand reasons I don't own one. I wish they'd just put the 110 in an raised the price 2K like the slim S an Fatboy S......for what they want for that cvo breakout I'd buy a used breakout an slap a 117" kit in it. an have money left over, lots of money left over.
CVO™ Pro Street Breakout. Yep that's the one. Agree the $26K tab is way too high. Offer this engine in the normal Breakout and charge a few grand more would makes sense.
But I'm sure HD wants to milk this for all they can until the Milwaukee 8's make their way through the HD line-up.

Yup, that appears to be the strategy. Harley could easily have done a 103 or 110 engine when the twin cams first came out, but then they would have lost the sales from those who thought they needed to upgrade at each incremental step.
Exactly. Look at the auto companies. They do it all the time. When the new model and/or engines become stagnant the newer version emerges. Same model but more HP or luxury or whatever. Then they sit on that until it too becomes past tense.
I had a 2016 CVO Breakout and it was a blast to ride. Slapped a D&D Lowcat and the Harley Race Tuner on it, and it ran like hell. Did about 95hp on the Dyno. It was a fun bar hopper and you should be able to pick up a 2016 model for a great price-now that the 2017's are on the ground and they are virtually unchanged.

What do you mean by "I had"...if it was such a great ride where is it?
