I don't like the look of a stripped down Heritage or Deluxe unless the rear is lowered so the fender covers more of the tire or a portion of the whitewall, if present.

I like it either way. The Heritage w/bags always says quintessential Harley to my eye, while the stripped-down look says elegant simplicity...

Either way, tho, I would do something with that football A/C like, ASAP!

no one suggested my favorite way.......stripped down, solo seat, but leave the bags on.

Wife hates the bags. Way way to many studs in them that year. Theyre like brand new...so probably trade em or just outright sell them for someting plain. That would suite her best. Soon as I find some theyll go back on.

I ride my Heritage solo. I stripped everything on the back and put a fender bib on. Narrowed the signal lights as much as I could and still pass state inspection requirements. Laid the tag so it doesn't stand at attention. Took the passenger foot pegs off. Kept the original seat. Lowered the back end. Installed quick attach setup for my bags if I ever want them on. Still use the windshield. She doesn't look too bad.

There is another member here, besides us, from the 24th. The thing I hated most about Ft. Stewart, was the damn gnats. First to fight!

I like it stripped down but the original seat is just too wide without the bags -- and I would swap the turn signals and get a laid back license plate mount.
