just joined the site, been lurking for awhile, great forum, Ive been looking at a 01 fatboy 6k miles,
just whating to know any pro's or con's to that year model? anything else to watch out for? this will be by
first Harley.

The newer the bike the more extras you get.... More chrome - fatter rear tires.
My 05 came with a lot of chrome that an 01 does not come with, and 06's & 07's come with fatter tires & bigger motors....
Do a little research.
Nothing "wrong" with an 01 - just make sure the price is right. Look on e-bay to get a feel for used prices.

Go for it. Just make sure you pay a fair price. Ebay is good as said above, or ask on this forum. There are a load of very knowledgeable people here.

Wife had a 2001 Heritage which is the same basic bike. It was a good motorcycle and had no issues in the 25,000 that she rode it.
