Default 06 night train final belt install HELP

Hey, I recently bought a 06 night train and it was missing the final drive belt due to breakage from PO. I got a killer deal on the bike but today I'm trying to install a new belt (which is pushing my mechanical ability pretty hard) but anyway the compensator sprocket doesn't have a bolt in the center but seems to be locked in position. I'll try to put in some photos if I can figure out how. It looks different from any other pics I've seen on utube or the shop manual. Theres susposed to be a storm coming up so time is of the essence. Any help, suggestions, ideas, anything will be greatly appreciated. Oh, also the rear pulley is practically riding on the frame and the adjuster nuts look funny to me. Any ideas?

Adjuster nuts are like that because there is no belt to keep adjusted. What year? Just pull the comp and clutch so you can get the inner primary off. What repair manual are you using? Get a factory one.

Wait an 06 with a broken belt? Did he beat on it? You heard it run before purchase I'm guessing?

Default 06 night train final belt drive. help

Hey, I did hear the bike run before the purchase. It runs great as its sitting. course I haven't been able to see how it runs on the road. Its got V&H pipes, screamin eagle heads, inverted front end and sounds great if a little to loud. I like em loud but don't likie loud pipe tickets. Anyway, on my original post the compensator sprocket looks different than anyone I've ever seem. There should be a bolt in the center and theres nothing there. Someone please explain this to me the compensator seems very tight when I tried to pull it off the round part seems to have three little notches in it like maybe someone used a puller on it. I think the po fancied himself a great rider (Ithink he's an *******) but him riding it hard is a distince possibility. Bike has 29k

It would be the 99-06 style compensator right? There are magnets for the stator back there so getting it of I bend welding rod into hooks on the end. Then pull. You might need a huge breaker bar or an impact gun.
