Default Jaybrake Master Cylinder

I have Jaybrake controls on my bike. I am very happy with the quality and they have held up for a few years now. Anyone running these? Just curious to see who has em and what yall think about em.

Also, if anyone can shine light on the rebuild layout of these controls. I am having hell bleeding my from brakes. Can't find a leak but it won't build pressure. I have searched my *** off on this forum and all over and came up with nothing. Thanks in advice

Hey man I use on my train, one of the nicest feeling actions around. I love em.

Funny you mention the problem as I have a problem with the calipers not fully releasing. Has the calipers apart even took it to a brake shop to test it and it came up working properly. So it has to be in the master cylinder. The return valve or something. Though it is working both ways, just the return seems to not be working to its fullest. Same thing I couldn't find anyone with the same issue. When I get time I plan to pull it off and take it to the brake shop around the corner and have them test it. I had hell bleeding mine but I think it had a lot to do with the line running through my tight little sharp cornered bars, air bubbles getting trapped in there and having almost no way to rattle the line to get the air out

With bleeding though, with the bleeder valve on the caliper off, just really light short little pumps of the lever. Slowly the bubbles will work their way out the through the master cylinder. Will take some time but it's easy work. Should start to firm up after 10-15min of thiS

Pull the lever really tight against the bars and tie wrap over night usually works a treat.

You may need to rebuild the master cylinder. Over time the internal rubber parts or the bore will wear and result in poor pressure in the brake system....
