That's what I was thinking too. Cut some 4 inch squares (or get fancy and make circles) of 1/2 inch hard wood and put them in the tool bag. That way if you forget to pick it up when you go, it's no big loss.
I bought the Harley plastic pad for $7 a few days after I boughtmy FLSTC. I use it at home on my blacktop driveway.I thought I would be able to keep it in the Windshield bag for quick and easy use away from home, but it's too big to fit in the W/S bag and be able to close the bag lid.
I wish I could find a smaller diameter one to keep in the W/S bag. Anybody know of any? All the one's shown in this thread so far seem to be directed towards delaers or large quantity purchases.
I have one that I got from Leesburg this year as a givaway. You need one here in Florida if you ever park on the dirt (actually sand) It is soft and you could sink in and get a surprise when you get back. I keep mine in the saddle bags all the time.
