I've come by a screen from a Deuce in "as new" condition that I would like to fit onto my softail standard. I believe the fitting kit i need is 58397-00 as the 4 mounting "bobbins" go in-between the forks & not outside like the normal softail screen.
Before I order the kit could someone with a Deuce measure the width of the forks from centre to centre? My forks are 41mm which seems to be fine and the triple trees are far enough apart (top to bottom) and so it's just the fork width I need to check (the Standard ones are 9 3/4" ish).
Hi Jayne, hope this helps. I walked to my garage, peeled back the cover far enough to snap a shot of my '07 Deuce front forks. Yeah, center to center is in the 9 3/4" range you mentioned. Best of success with the install!
