Default Breakout Front fork shine-up

A couple of months ago I was looking at my '13 Breakout trying to figure out why the front end looked odd. Then it hit me - the black painted lowers just didn't look right. Maybe I'm just old school, but I like the looks of the polished aluminum forks. What to do? I bought some paint remover, pulled my front wheel, and dabbed a small amount of remover in a place I could touch-up if I didn't like the results. What do you know?... Nice shiny aluminum under the black paint! So I stripped all the paint off and coated them with clear lacquer. Now THAT looks more like a real Harley. Pix to show the difference.

Swapped my black fork sliders for chromed ones a couple of months ago. Even looks better than aluminum

Swapped mine with chromed ones as well. I agree they look much better than black ones.

IDK....I think those would look a little out of place on some bikes...

Not if all the other black parts that definitely look out of place where swapped for nice shiny chrome parts

I was too cheap, and the work kept me out of trouble on a rainy day.
