Just had slip-ons put on the bike. Do you guys keep your stock ones, any value, or junk em? I'd always keep my stock parts for my mustang. In case I sold it. Figured I do the same.
What slip-on's did you go with? I kept my stock mufflers as I keep all my OEM equipment. I have a shed full of OEM parts between my truck and motorcycles!

so just got update, dealer called, said my rineharts won't fit unless the really modify mounting brackets.
Anyone else run into this problem?
They recommended RC, I think I'll go with Vance. He advised me not to because of quality.
any opinions?

When I was looking for slip-on's my dealer said to get the slip-on's for the Softail Deluxe and not the Fat Boy. Apparently the Fat Boy S uses the Softail Deluxe mounts.

I just returned the pipe, haven't gotten a new one yet. Still looking for one I like.
Good luck with finding the right pipe! It shouldn't be that difficult but it is! I ended up with the Screamin' Eagle Street Cannon slip-on's and still wondering if that was the muffler I wanted. I'll ride it this year with those but maybe next year go with something different.
Picked the bike up Easter Day, I've only put 100 miles on it. Been consumed with graduating college. But after I'm gonna ride it til I ship out for basic at end of May. Then back in storage she goes.
I ended up going with cobra slip-on. It sounds good but not loud enough. My nightster sounds better I think. Love the bike. Key fob setup is kinda cool.
