Equalizer or choke

I "inherited" a '92 Heritage Classic. Instead of the Enrichener that I expected on the left side of the engine, it has what appears to be a choke lever on the right side at the top of the air cleaner cover. Is that unusual?

Do you mean something sort of like this?

I've relocated the enrichener on several of my carbed HD's; it was more convenient on the right side at the carb and cleaned up the look on the left under the tank

Sounds like the previous owner converted to the S&S tear drop style air cleaner and S&S carb. That enrichener is a lever on the right side on top on the air cleaner
