Default Please help Identify this bike

Well I have a chance to pick this bike up but I'm not to sure what it exactly is. What I do know after contacting S&S is that the engine components were sold to Ultra Custom Cycles in 1997. They also told me it was 3 5/8 bore I need to check out the flywheel to figure out the stroke. So I'm figuring it's some sort of Ultra Custom Cycles bike and I was hoping someone here might be able to help shed some light on this. The title for it is in Florida and the bike is here with me in MD, I wont have the title for about a month or so. I can pick it up for $2750 which I'm assuming is a pretty good deal. Thanks in advance for all the help.

I put this here instead of the customs section simply because of the traffic, if it should be moved please do so.

So is the motor an S&S Evo copy? Is there a VIN stamped on the neck that could lead you to more information?

Yes I tried to google it with no luck, Rosie at S&S said that Ultra bought a ton of stuff from them and built a good amount of bikes so I'm assuming it's one of theirs. They went out of business some time ago, I got a list of their models for 1997 but cant seem to find pics at least I couldn't find any in google. I was hoping with the amount of people here someone would've came across one in their travels

If it was built by a company making their own bikes (Carolina Customs etc) it should have some kind of tag/VIN on the frame. See anything on the frame to delineate origin?

What the title say it is, Custom?

Is this the company or have they been taken over by someone else since yours was built?

From their site:
Ultra helped develop and innovate the American V-Twin Custom market in the mid 1990's with the introduction of the Groundpounder and Jackhammer product lines with 180 series rear tires and 88 cubic inch S&S engines.

In 1998 Ultra released the bike that took the heavy weight V-Twin cruiser market by storm with the release of the Fat Pounder Rigid and the Fat Pounder Softail that roared down the road powered by the newly released S&S 113 cubic inch engine.

Looks like a very cool machine. Only a VIN can accurately decode it.

Frame appears to be a Fatboy EVO era. Tank looks just like my 1996 FB

Compare the frames. 1996 FB.

If it runs and has a clear title go for it.

seems to be a really low price for decent running bike..

advance with caution... I always remember what I was taught in my younger days..

If it seems to Good to be true,,, then it's probably Not....
