You guys are doing nice work. I suggest looking at more pics of older bikes for inspiration for the "little" things. That '62 has a bunch of stuff you could do, thin line double white walls, derby cover, no reflectors (or the old rectangle ones), add on a mouse trap, mirrors, etc. And I hate to say it but way back in the day white walls really were not on bikes, you may see one or two but in general spoke wheels (my preferences is black) with no whites. Good luck.

Forum member jackafrica has a set of the panhead rocker covers.
I think they look pretty cool on his Slim-S.

As for me, I wanted a bit 'different' look so I went with more of a
'retro-modern' look than true 'retro'. I did go with a real 36-64 clutch
cover though. Here's some old pics...

Did you buy your seat as is or is that a recover? Wife has a 2005 Deluxe with BB Reproductions bags and some other old school touches. She's got white grips and footboard inserts and is interested in a white seat. Talking about having Corbin in Ormond Beach take a look at it while we're on vacation. I also like those rails around the rear of the seat.
As for one of the other posts, I really like the pseudo pan look. But I don't see spending $540 plus each at this point in time.

Very nice. I wanted your cam cover, but for the price just went with the points cover. Would love a derby cover, but can't find one. May try to make one sometime.

I had my seat recovered and added a set of the seat emblems from back then. You can see the same ones on the '62 Duo pic. Be weary of sending seats off. I sent my last one to a so-called pro and he screwed it up and then wouldn't fix it till I paid him. So I told him to keep it. I finally found a guy about an hour away and can you believe he did this for $150?
You can get the seat rails on eBay.
I'm also with you about those Panhead covers. They look great, but just not going to spend that much on a set.

As for a neat little thing, I keep seeing these.

You can still get them for less than $10.
