Default Stainless splash guard for 2011 and later

I have seen these splash guards for up to 2010 models. I have a 2011 Heritage so does anyone know of any for this bike? Or know of a metal replacement for the plastic original

I have a 2012 Heritage and I had the same problem when I was looking for a SS splash guard, or what the MoCo calls a rear fender extension.

Because I couldn't find anything other than the HD part, I purchased the HD SS rear fender extension that supposedly only fit up to 2010 models with the hope that it would work on my 2012 and it did!

The part number was 60197-08. I just ran this part through the HD online store and it doesn't come up. When I do a Google search for it the usual online stores are not listed. This generally means that the part is discontinued. The only rear fender extension found through the online store is for certain models up to model year 2007.

But, other links for it do show. Here are three of them. No guarantees if they actually have the part in stock but they are leads.

Here it is installed on my Heritage

Thanks for that info mate. I have been doing a bit of work on the bike this week, replaced the lifters and put rockouts in the rocker support plates. Removed the rear wheel to change tyre and removed shocks (Waiting for new shotgun Shocks). So was thinking while everything is stripped I could easily put in a chrome swing arm and stainless splash guard.

The one listed from Harley is listed up to an 07 deluxe. What actually changed from then to now as far as the *** end is concerned?

great looking scoot there, I have a 2008 rocker c, that when I put the breakout fender on I lost protection back there now I see a plastic part that Harley sells if you go on Ronnie's microfiche parts its there in rear section listed asharley splashgaurd part# 49000014, but I much rather the chrome NATURALLY, question is, do we have the same softail rear ends, sets like most are, or mine may be wider for 240 rear tire, would this work on my scoot, also how did you install, I see rounded part, I assume lays over top part of rear swingers, just not sure on the bolts and adaptors I see there? thanks

Hey Tom,

I went to Ronnie's and found the splashguard for the BO you referenced. Since the splashguard attaches to the swingarm, the fit is based on the swingarm not the tire size. It should work on your Rocker with the BO fender. Keep in mind, that splashguard is just black plastic. If it happens to be too wide, you can simply trim it down to size. If it is too narrow, it's probably better than no guard at all. If you get it and it doesn't work it's cheap enough and you won't have broken the bank.

The one I have is polished SS, not chrome. Given it's location, it does get very dirty. When I got it, I had no idea whether it would work or not. It happened to fit. If it didn't, I was going to have a metalsmith I know in Austin, Texas fab a custom one for me.

The splash guard simply attaches by clamps to the upper and lower horizontal members of the swingarm. I have attached the instructions for my splashguard to this post so you can see how it is installed.

Good luck. Post back what you decide.
