Road rashed bags
I was given a set of heritage saddlebags that were on a bike that went
down. The beadind (piping) at the bottom edge took most of the damage
and the leather on it is worn through.
Anyone have any ideas on how to repair it?

The bags are made out of pretty heavy materials. You probably don't want to hear this, but you'll probably be better off taking them to an upholstery shop and let them fix them. Most shops are fairly reasonable in price and usually have what they need on hand..
It probably would be cheaper to just buy a used set off e-bay than trying to get a damaged set repair.
I've seen in good condition bags sell for as little as $250.
Note that they changed the look in 2009 and then again in 2016.
I'm not sure prior to 2009 when or if the bags changed.
Also don't forget mounting hardware.
I'm not sure if the stock Heritage brackets will work on a Fatboy, but at least some modified form of OEM brackets will be needed to mount the bags too.
