Default Slim S or Lowrider S?

I'm considering both. My question is: How is the Slim S for 2-up riding? I know it's not really designed for that, but I have to throw the ol' ball-and-chain on the back every now and then, and if the wife ain't happy, I hear about it.

I love the Lowrider's huge engine and smaller frame, but I'm a softail guy and love the looks of the Slim.

I'd love to hear the thoughts of you Slim S owners.

Interestingly enough I just traded my road glide and sportster for the Slim S. Like you said while I know it's not meant for touring I have seen folks successfully set them up for a decent jaunt. I did a lot of touring in the last 10 years of riding and right now I just want to chill and look at a super sweet bike and honestly my back hurts less riding the slim than my old road glide.

I have some plans on adding the Wind Splitter windshield and a better seat. particularly for my wife but I'll benefit as well.

My plan is everything is detachable and convertible back to the basic which is how I like it but ready for the road.

and IMHO I prefer the looks of the Slim than the lowrider, although the new lowrider is freaking nice.

BTW here is my brand new Softail Slim S mapped and with Bassani Road Rage exhaust, RC Components wheels with matching rotors & rear sprocket, 7" daymaker. Some Burst line rear pegs and grips. I swapped the stock floorboards with the Cyclesmiths 21" banana boards. Only problem running those is I have to reach down to Jiffy stand since the boards are so long I can't engage it with my foot.

Have you consider the Fat Boy S? That's what I decided on as I thought it would be a little better for two-up than both the Slim S and Low Rider S.

Sweet setup! How do you like the Bassani exhaust?

yeah, I may end up doing this. I have a fatboy now and love it, but I was kind of wanting something different, just for a change.

I love it and best of all it's not obnoxious when riding but damn it has a nice bark. Sounds great at startup and idle........but that startup...

Good advice right there.

I'll add that I own a 2014 Low Rider(not S) and a 2016 Slim S. If your priority is to have a more comfy passenger IMHO the Dyna is better because (important for me) the dyna shocks are easier to adjust. Of course you can get air ride on the Slim but that'll set you back a good coin. They dyna has a higher seat height so more shock travel will help with your pass confort.

You will love the 110 btw. It is a stout runner!

I'll work on that and get it loaded up to youtube. stay posted. But with that said you know, no video really ever does it justice. But I think I have a decent camera that takes real good HD video with pretty good sound quality. (i.e. not a camera on a phone)
