2015 48-running lights/blinker problem
If I remove the front bulb the rear stays on, if I remove the rear bulb the front stays on. In those states, neither bulb blinks.
Lights on right side work fine, as do head light, brake lights and flashers.
When you activate left side turn signal you get rapid flash on the turn signal indicator.
Before I tear into the connectors under the tank, any suggestions?
I'd look for a bad ground or a pinched wire somewhere. If none are found, you have to ask yourself a few of questions:
1. Have the bars been changed recently?
2. Has the seat been off and wires moved around?
3. Has any aftermarket stuff been added?
If yes to any, these are good places to start when trying to trace the fault.
Aside from that, all I can think is that maybe a connector is loose. The connectors for the rear indicator/stop lights are all under the seat. Disconnect them and make sure all of internal connectors are in line by pushing the wires on the back of the connector toward the connector itself.
Also, you may want to ask the mods to move this question to the Sportster forum as there may be some folks there with additional knowledge.
