Looking to buy 06 Night Train - need advice.
Haven't been on here since I sold my 72 in 2014 - told myself after 2 kids I have to stay away from bikes (ok well maybe my wife said it)
In the market for a night train, currently looking at 2006 with some mods done such as stage 2 with tuner, Vance & Hines, spare shorty rear fender etc...
I am not mechanically inclined and will be taking it for inspection.
What are some common issues with that year/engine - what to look for?
Thanks in advance.

Only usual problem will be the cam chain tennioners, some last 50,000 miles or more before they need changing while others are worn out at 20,000 or less, luck of the draw depends on how rough your cam chains are. I've got an 06 NT had my tennioners changed out at 30,000 turns out they were hardly worn at all.
ask the seller when he last checked them, or if the bike has done 25,000 or more and you buy it have them checked out.

Bike has little less than 10,000 miles.

With only 10,000 miles I would almost guarantee they have never even been checked. Factor that into your purchase price. For me, I would replace them right off the bat even if they aren't showing much wear just for peace of mind.
Other than that, nothing else I know of that is a big issue. The NT is one of my favorite harleys ever. Buy it.
