I'm thinking about buying a carbureted 06' Night Train with 6400 miles on it. I know the owner but haven't seen the bike yet, only pics. What's the good and bad for this year. I know about the cam chain tensioner issues. Anything else to know about? Does it have a 200 rear tire?
I've owned several Softails in the past and currently ride a 13' SG so I'm familiar with Harley's. Just looking for info on this year and model.
If I'm not mistaken, I believe the 200 rear tire was new for '06. So, it should have the wider rear-end.
It's pretty low miles. Sounds like a good bike, but look it over in person to be sure if what you're getting. Have fun!
2006 was the last year for carb Harley's also. And I think you had to order them also.
You must have, I've got an 06 Train bought in October 05 and it came with EFI. To the OP I've got 25,000 on mine so far all is well, including the tensioners which were checked around 22,000 miles, if that's any help to you.
