Default Alberta License Plates are YUGE!

I ordered the laydown license plate and turn signal relocation kit from great bike gear, so that I could install hard saddlebags on my fatboy. After I finished installing it and moving my turn signals, I realized my Alberta plate is too big! I know, I know never assume. Does anyone know of a similar product that works with 8” x 5” plates?

Cut the license plate? Probable against some BS law.

I trimmed my license plate on one of my bikes to tuck it up under the fender....but there's no inspections or anything like that around here.

Did you find anything? I live in Edmonton, looking for a side mount license plate for 18 Fatboy.

Thanks!

take it to staples and have them make a hard plastic lamented copy, reduced in size.

Get license plate trim ring and cut the plate down, I did this about 3 years ago and haven’t been bothered by the cops, have been pulled over to have the exhaust metered with it cut and no issue.

As as for a side mount, I hear that’s asking for trouble.

Had to cut the plate to fit my wife's bike and have not had any problems. I assume you will be OK as long as you do not cover anything up.

I ran a side plate (vertical) on my springer couple years ago and got away with it for about 3 months before I got pulled over.
