Default Specialized license plate

Well lucky ole me...

I ordered a specialized license plate for my 883 and now it's totaled.

What other eff up can I pile on top of this monstrous pile of crap!?

Does anyone know if you can sell it?

Nope, belongs to DMV. Order a new one and turn that one in when the new one comes in.

I believe, call DMV or search their internet to confirm, you can transfer your vanity plate to your new vehicle.
Good luck.

NC allows this, so might be good to check.

If your getting another 883 you can transfer it. If not turn it in or hang it on your wall and tell the DMV it went with the bike to the junk yard.

I miss understood. I thought they mis-printed it.
Ya, you can transfer the plate to the new bike. Dealer ship can do this in house if you go through a dealer.
Or you can do it yourself when you go to register a used vehicle at the DMV. Just bring the old registration with you.

Once you buy a plate from the DMV it is your plate, you can transfer it from vehicle to vehicle but you must inform the DMV of this, I'm not sure if you can sell it thou..

With special permission you could, my dad did it many years ago with a guy who had a plate he wanted.
