Just purchased a 2006 Heritage that runs real strong. Has Python slip-ons and am getting a slapping sound, similar to paper slapping coming from the front cylinder. Swapped out slip ons from front to back and still comes from front cylinder. Engine itself runs smooth and no sounds coming from engine or exhaust leaks. Any suggestions....was going to try different slip-ons but now????
Check the heat shield to see if its loose or if something is hitting your pipes or anything else is loose causing the noise. Sound clip or youtube will help.
So coming from front cylinder even after switching slipons. How about where the pushrods and lifters are from the front cylinder? Any noise from there?
