I just finished installing a filter relocation kit from 3 guyz.. It works well and will make oil changes a lot cleaner. A bit tight to install with ABS but still possible ...

On my list of goodies...looks good. How much did you have to force the issue with the ABS module?

Dunno bout low mounting but if you elect to mount it high, only a "very" slight bend in the ss tubing is required to mount the kit to the down tube.

I do a lot of secondary road riding, as opposed to slab, so thought a higher mount might reduce the chance of an impact with road debris. Too high and you run into contact between the engine head and fittings unless you mount the thing at an odd looking angle.

It wasn't to bad with ABS.. Let me explain. To mount it higher on the tube with ABS you will be slightly bending one of the ABS tubes. To me that out of the question. So it had to go just under were the ABS connects to the down tube. But now you will have to move the hose connectors on the filter housing. I first just backed them out slightly, but after a 75 mile test run they started to form drops of oil. So I took them out and use plumbers string on the threads with some Teflon paste and tightened them to the position I needed. Last test was 150 miles and all was good!!! As far as something hitting the filter. My filter is a K&P washable filter. Its solid aluminum .
