Hi guys well I have a problem on my softail classic never happen before
When Im in the city and get really hot when I Turn it off and I Turn it on it doesnt stars I have to wait a while and then it start
Can anybody help me?
Thanks
First off how is the battery ? My wife also rides an 08 Softail that had the same issue ended up replacing the compensator, and starter, and starter clutch before it was all said and done ..No issues since the repair .. Good luck ..
Love Jug cooling fans solved the problem for me, I now don't have to be shutting off and restarting my engine when stuck in stop and go traffic in the hot summer months.
Well battery its the original one so its five years old but why it works when cold?
I bought love jugs and honestly I couldnt ride my bike with fans on Ive roasted my right leg so I took them off
Thanks a lot
When you say it doesn't start, what does it do? Does it crank and if so, is it just not firing up or acting erratic or what? My bike started doing that a couple of years ago, but it was kicking back and acting like it was losing its mind. Then after losing its mind it was a no fire; just cranking, but not starting. I found that if I hit the starter just after the fuel pump pressured up, it would start most every time.
Now, I may have just fixed that problem, but time will tell. I just replaced a bad pressure regulator housing and so far so good. I think I've just learned that proper fuel pressure is everything..
The engine cranks but just then get stuck if I try again
Its líke when battery is dead just a click
I hope you can understand me
Anyway I ll get a new battery and I ll see whats up
Thanks
