Has anyone tried/have reviews on the Hogworkz softail conversion? I've got a 2002 FLSTC-I that I am considering putting hard bags on. Hogworkz has a whole kit (bags and brackets) for just under $570. I would be interested in your experience putting them on, any major issues. (changing out rear turn signals required), etc...
I got these "Patrol" bags from Tsurkayu. They easily fit my deluxe. A little expensive @ $725 w/shipping. mine are primed and ready to paint. Mine are fiberglass as well. They have a few different options, including ABS, which are @$ 500-600. You can also get them in black. They have bike specific as well as universal fit. Include mounting hardware, and I did not need to relocate turn signals.

Thanks for this link. Been looking for decent flowing hard bags that follow the fender for a long time. I absolutely despise the hard angle cooler boxes everyone tries to sell for ridiculous amounts of money.
Just need to find bag guards for a 13 Fatboy Lo now. Appears to be impossible to find anything. I'll even take cosmetic over crash functional at this point.

Are you running stock exhaust?
Did you have any issues with your kit/installation?
Looks like you got fiberglass vs ABS, any specific reason?

i had no problem with the exhaust. I have the HD Stage I slip ons. Adequate clearance. And I got the bike specific bags rather than the universal fit. With universal fit you have to drill your own mounting holes. Install was a breeze. I'll post some pictures. I chose fiberglass because it was thicker and I thought it would be more durable. Since i'm getting the bags painted I thought it might paint better?

Thanks, I would like to see the pictures before I make up my mind.
If possible both side and made a shot from the back.

Hope these help. Got home after dark. You should be able to see clearance. You probably already saw the other bag options, such as the "Strong" bags, which contour along the fenders.
