With the oil tank right under the seat it certainly adds to the amount of felt heat to the rider .. Yes our Crotch cooler will make your ride more comfortable ..
I have search but haven't found anything. I have a 2016 Heritage and would like to know what is normal head temperature. Mine is running a 330 to 348 degrees. Is this normal?
Hey man. Check out my post with pictures to help solve your problem. Cooler twin Cam engine Part 2. Best of luck.
consider it on the high side. 272 is the range my front cylinder runs in with data logged on my ThunderMax tuner. Has logged higher temps with stop and go or idling too long. But 272 to 275 is average.

I see you had some other posts questioning timing and tuning. Are you sure you didn't end up with something funky in your tune?
I have PW basic tune and running 50 degrees cooler. You know how hot ît was here the last week. If you're hitting 340ish in stop and go it should come down well below 300 after 3 or 4 miles at 70 on the freeway.
Have you tried to tune with the narrow band sensors and in basic on the PV? It would be an experiment just to see if the temps come down. Start with whatever map you got from the vendor and don't use any numbers or table entries from TT. If your temps come down you know TT went sideways on you.
Jimmy55tx are we talking about the same thing. The reason I ask is there is a engine temp and cylinder head temp in the power vision gauges. My engine Temp is running around 261 degrees were my Head temps are 345 degrees (by the Power Vision Gauge).
Cylinder head temps of 300F is ok. It's not the best for making power or longevity, but it's not on fire either.
Now, if you're talking OIL temps, that's different.
As far as oil additive package constituents go, for every 10 degrees F above about 290, your oil life gets cut in half.
That's "dino" OR synthetic based oils.
