I have come across a 2011 Deluxe that has 1800 miles on it! Yes 1800! This guy has obviously not ridden the bike in fact in talking with him when he purchased it new he hadn't even had his license yet! He took the riders course got his license and most likely didn't take to riding as much as he thought he would.
The bike hadn't had any service done all the original fluids and tires still in place. I know that if I purchase the bike the first thing I will have done is fluids changed and I will also purchase tires.
He has agreed to have a complete multi-point inspection before I purchase it just for my piece of mind.
Is there anything else I should be looking for? The bike looks showroom and the body is tight! I just get this strange feeling about a bike that is not broken in and so little miles!
Well first you forgot to post a picture. Second it sounds like you love the bike. Third once he gets it serviced take it out and ride it till it needs its next service!
The important point is how much is he asking vs. how much it's worth. It's still almost a 7 year old bike, 18's in a month. Check blue book and ask a loan officer first.
I looked at a 2011 with 800 miles on it and was so close to buying it but he wouldn't budge on price. Some people get scared, some have health issues etc. I personally wouldn't worry about it.
As someone said don't overpay it's not our fault these individuals do not ride......
Two years ago I got a 2010 Deluxe with 1900 miles on it...I have not had any issues. Change fluids and tires, empty your bank account and spend on accessories, and go ride!

The rings and bearings seated well before 1800 miles. Concentrate on the price and enjoy.
