Default 2017 softail slim s exhaust

I just picked up a 17 softail slim s with the 110. I was going to do either rush or cobra slip ons my question is do I need to remap. Dealer pretty much said they weren't sure to put them on and see how it performs. I know the cat is inside the mufflers and not the head pipes anyone of any input...

do I need a tuner and remap for just slip ons? Is the 110 a different tune vs the 103 since it comes factory with a stage 1 air cleaner?

Pipe swap alone should be fine and, if you feel compelled, the dealer can flash your bike. IMO...get a tuner and be done w/it b/c this probably won't be your last motor upgrade. When I purchased my '17 FXDLS, it was my 1st purchase...I like to have control on bike's a/f ratio.

It will run fine without a tune. However, you will leave a lot of power and torque on the table. I gained 15 hp and 12 torque on my Fatboy S with a dyno tune over just the slip ons. The tune and tuner ran about $800 total but to me it transformed the bike into a brute.

I have a 2016 Slim S with Rush slip-ons, 2" baffle. I feel like the bike does not have the giggy-up it did with the stock pipes but it sure sounds a lot better. I did not remap.

Maybe I will look into a map and Dyno in the future.

I have a 16' Fat Boy S with Rush slip-on's 1.75" baffles and rode it for a week with no tune. Notice loss of power on the low-end but not bad. Just didn't pull as hard as stock. Decided on the FP3 and tuned with their canned map for slip-on's and it made all of the difference. I regained the loss power at the low-end and maybe even picked up a little bit.
