Corbin Seat?
I have had Corbins on past bikes but they are pretty hard, but comfy at the same time. I have found the Drag Specialties seat to be firm but not as much so it is more comfy to me, and the optional back rest adjusts up & down and back & forth (see pics in max & min positions on my 2011 FB Lo. However, I just put it on for pics and am debating whether to keep it or my stock seat with modified Grasshopper back rest since I like them both. I have both setups advertised for sale and whichever one sells first means I will keep the other, and be happy.
Got the Corbin 20k mi ago and its been great
Very firm and looks the ****
I have a 29" inseem and its a little to wide, so at times I can't plant both feet as well as I could with the stockers arrower seat
Longer legs would be good but if not, it might be worth mentioning before they build it
I did menion this, but still didn't help. Makes me wonder if they just sent me a pre fab instead of a custom to fit build
Carefull ordering. Best call or visit the shop
I'm looking at their "Corbin Classic Solo". I want something that looks more like the stock unit to maintain that more classic bobber look than some of the "comfort" type seats which I'm sure are comfortable but change the look...
Any thoughts/advice on the Corbin Classic Solo or on a seat thats maintains the look but offer more comfort would be appreciated.
TIA

Thank you for the responses and suggestions! They are greatly appreciated.
With all the positive reviews of the Corbin I'm going with it. As I mentioned in my thread starter, I'd use Corbin in the past (as well as Sargent) and have been happy with Corbin, just not on a Harley.
They definitely require break-in. When I received my first Corbin, I was disappointed with it the first time I sat on it as it didn't feel any better. But sure enough after short time it was great. I was able to sit in the saddle for a couple hours without issue.
I will definitely talk to them about the "reach" to the ground. It does look like their seat is also a little taller when using their tool to do a side-by-side comparison.
I did consider the Drag Specialties and Mustang... But I liked the ability with Corbin to completely customize the colors for my bike.
Thanks Again!

Very true. It's the fit that counts.

I can't speak for the Classic Solo, but I have a Corbin Gunfighter & Lady on Reaper, and though it's very firm, I have ridden well over 800 miles/16 hrs in a day on it, and been comfortable the entire time. As you know, it takes some break in time, but once that's done, it's perfect.
As a comparison, I recently got a Mustang Vintage Wide Touring seat because the passenger portion of the Gunfighter & Lady is narrow and causes my OL's back and butt to hurt on rides over 200 miles. She LOVES the Mustang, and now she's good to go for all day rides on it, but I find that after about 2 - 2.5 hours, my lower back starts getting fatigued. That never happens with the Corbin.
Cheers!
