Been regretting selling my 14 Heritage for a road glide ultra for awhile. So I went out and bought a new to me Heritage today.
All I can say is WOW.
She's a 1999 with 10500 miles. Everything I've ever thought a Harley should be. She shakes, rattles and rolls. Was originally looking at a 2013 anniversary Heritage but once they started this one up I was hooked.
Only thing I really can't stand is my brake pedal is halfway down on the floor board. Any ideas? Also hard to see neutral indicator lights.
When you said you bought a Heritage, I was thinking it was a Heritage Softail Classic (FLSTC). Your bike is a Heritage Springer (FLSTS); a totally different beast.
All I can say is Wow too! Check your brake pads, rotor thickness, and fluid level. If those are all good, you may need a rebuild on the master cylinder. I'd be looking to see if the lamps in the dash are just old.

I'll check but I think there's some misinterpretation. The physical location of the break pedal is Midway on the floor board. On newer models it's at the end of the floor board. Wondering if there's a bracket or something to move it out?
I bought an extended pedal off ebay for my 99 fat boy but sold it before installing it. It moves it forward 2" an down a half or something like that. it was around $60
Congrats on your purchase and not trying to burst your bubble but I can see where you bought that bike and I hope you went over it with a fine toothed comb.

Oh really? I live fairly close and know multiple people who've bought off them and haven't heard anything negative with their bikes.
